In light of their mutual admiration, as well as their leading roles as champions of freedom, Sharansky's, criticism that Bush has failed to do enough to forge a bipartisan consensus for his freedom and democracy crusade must be taken seriously. Yet, Bush’s critics have a harder question to answer: why have they not whole-heartedly joined that crusade?
